Hats Hats Hats!!!

We can't keep up. Molly and I go home after every show and make hats.

Check out the number to the right. That's a lot!

We try to keep a variety on display, so before we leave the theatre we check out the inventory. We usually end up talking to patrons, volunteers and other employees. Everyone has been enjoying the shows and we've had great weather. Especially for the hats. These cool nights help us sell more.

If anyone has one of our hats, send in a picture of you wearing it out or just modeling it for us. I would love a huge album of our products in action. Thanks.

Hunting Success!

We completed our multi-stage cache yesterday at the beautiful Peninsula State Park. It was sunny with a slight cool breeze. We only saw a few people in the park, giving us some great solitude in the wilderness.

The hunt was fun. We used our GPS to approach the coordinates. Learning on how to read it, filing though the different screens and watching our progress.

When you arrive at you location you need to find a container, like the one in the picture. Inside you find coordinates for the next location. Once you enter them into the GPS you can continue on your hunt.

At the last location there were items in the cache. You could take an item, if you left one. Molly liked a magnet, so we left a white paper clip, 50 cents and a Malibu Moos punch card with two punches already on it. I think that was a good trade. There was also a secret password inside that you could use at park headquarters to receive a prize.

We hope to do other caches in the park and around the county.

Have you Geocached? Did you like it? Can you recommend any locations?

Geocaching

It's a modern day treasure hunt. The map is your very own handheld GPS.

Molly and I just completed our very first cache hunt today.

It was a multi-cache at Peninsula State Park. At the end of the 4 stages of treasure hunting you find the secret word to tell the park rangers and receive a prize.

It was fun. We hiked new trails and didn't know what to expect.

We are going to try some other caches around the county.

Happy hunting.

AFT Hats

Molly and I have been making hats to sell at the theatre.

On the right hand side you can see how many we have made this summer.

I'm trying to make the number look bigger, but it can speak for itself.

Part of the proceeds go back to the American Folklore Theatre.

Last year I had a goal of making 50 hats by myself. I actually sold 130. Molly and I are well over that number, and going beyond.

I Just Remembered...

Oh yeah I have a blog. I've been reading other people's blogs and on the internets elsewhere that I never thought of putting anything on here.

I put my website in the AFT program.
Maybe people are checking it out. Hoping to get some traffic.

I have big dreams for this space.

BIG.
